NGO in the special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations
The International Human Rights Observer (IHRO) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization established in 1996 under the Social Welfare Act of 1961 in Pakistan. We work closely with governments, the United Nations, and other institutions to safeguard and advance human rights globally.
At IHRO, we envision a world where every individual, regardless of caste, religion, or color, enjoys the international human rights norms and fundamental freedoms as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Our mission is to make our dream of universal human rights a reality. We advocate, research, and act at all levels—national, international, governmental, and grassroots—to prevent abuses and empower individuals through Human Rights Education. We believe in the power of knowledge to drive change and build partnerships to end grave human rights abuses.
