The International Human Rights Observer (IHRO) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization established in 1996 under the Social Welfare Act of 1961 in Pakistan. We work closely with governments, the United Nations, and other institutions to safeguard and advance human rights globally.

Since our inception, IHRO has grown to become a leading voice in human rights advocacy, research, monitoring, and education. With a vast volunteer network across Pakistan, including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, we are dedicated to ensuring that every individual is accorded the national and international standards of human rights.

Our mission is to make our dream of universal human rights a reality. We advocate, research, and act at all levels—national, international, governmental, and grassroots—to prevent abuses and empower individuals through Human Rights Education. We believe in the power of knowledge to drive change and build partnerships to end grave human rights abuses.
