Video footage shows Israeli soldiers pushing dead bodies from roof

The International Human Rights Observer (IHRO) strongly condemns the latest egregious violation of human rights by Israeli forces, as video footage emerged showing Israeli soldiers throwing the bodies of three Palestinians off a rooftop in the West Bank town of Qabatiya. The appalling incident occurred during an Israeli military raid on Thursday morning, further intensifying the ongoing violence in the region.

The video, which has sparked widespread outrage across social media, captures Israeli soldiers standing on the roof of a building, callously kicking and pushing the bodies of the slain Palestinians over the edge. In one of the most disturbing scenes, a soldier can be seen grabbing a body by its limbs and hurling it to the ground with no regard for human dignity.

The Israeli army’s assault on Qabatiya resulted in the deaths of at least seven Palestinians and the besieging of two schools, where 1200 children were trapped for hours as the military operation continued. This blatant disregard for civilian safety, especially of children, is yet another tragic example of the human rights abuses suffered by Palestinians under Israeli occupation.

IHRO condemns this act of violence, as it adds to a growing list of war crimes perpetrated by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). The lack of meaningful action from international organizations to hold Israel accountable for its ongoing violations only serves to dehumanize Palestinian lives further.

This incident is part of a broader Israeli offensive launched last month, targeting refugee camps and Palestinian infrastructure under the pretext of fighting Hamas. During these operations, the IDF has bulldozed essential water resources, destroyed businesses, and devastated homes across the West Bank. Since October 7, more than 700 Palestinians have been killed, with over 5,400 injured, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

IHRO urges the international community to take immediate and decisive action to end the occupation’s violent repression, which continues to infringe on the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people. The lack of accountability for such war crimes only perpetuates the cycle of violence and injustice, leaving a lasting stain on the global human rights agenda.
