NGO in the special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations
The International Human Rights Observer (IHRO) is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and registered under section 42 of the Companies Act (XIX) 2017 with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). IHRO is a human rights monitoring, research, training, and advocacy non-profit, non-political human rights organization working since 1996.
The bylaws of IHRO are designed to guide its operations, ensuring alignment with its mission to promote and protect fundamental human rights. These bylaws establish the organizational structure, governance policies, and operational procedures that enable IHRO to function effectively and ethically.
IHRO holds Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. This prestigious status allows us to engage in substantive discussions on human rights issues at the National and International level and to participate in the UN’s activities and processes.
